Fatal fatal road traffic collision in Trim, Meath on the 22/5/14

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision in Trim, Co. Meath on the Thursday 22nd May 2014.

A woman in her 60's was fatally injured in the two car crash, which happened on the Athboy Road at 6.50 pm.

The dead woman was the driver of one of the cars and was taken from the scene by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, suffering from a serious leg injury. She died from her injuries in the early hours of this morning, the 23rd May. The driver of the other car was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
