Drug seizure and arrest in Killarney, Kerry on the 20/5/14

Gardaí have arrested a man and seized 2kg of cannabis herb in an operation in Killarney, Co. Kerry this afternoon.

As part of joint operation Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs Unit and officers from Revenues Drugs Unit supported by local Gardaí seized the drugs following a search of a car at a car park in Killarney today at approx 3.30pm.  The drugs have an estimated street value, subject to analysis, of €40,000.

A man is mid 20's, was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Tralee Garda station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
