Gardaí have arrested a man and seized a quantity of drugs in an operation in Cork on 13th May 2014.
Gardaí in Fermoy stopped and searched a vehicle near Watergrasshill. A quantity of cocaine, cannabis herb and cannabis resin with a street value, subject to analysis, of €2,400 were discovered in the car.
The driver a man in his late 30s was arrested and taken to Fermoy Garda station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
During a follow up search at a house in Ballincollig a further quantity of cannabis herb, with a street value of €3000 was discovered.
The man was released from Fermoy Garda Station early this morning 14th May and file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
