Cannabis seizure and arrests in Mullingar, Westmeath on the 21/5/14

Gardaí at Mullingar have arrested two people following the search of a house and the discovery an amount of cannabis herb with a estimated value of €2,000.

The discovery was made at approx 3.30pm on the 21st May 2014 when Gardai were attending the property for a seperate complaint. The area was sealed off for scene of crime investigaters.

The two males, one in his early 20's, the other a juvenile, were arrested at the scene and detained under Sect 4 Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Mullingar Garda Station. They have since been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecution.
