Incidents in Lusk & Skerries / 3rd March 2014

Gardaí at Balbriggan Co Dublin are investigating two robberies which occurred in Lusk and Skerries Co Dublin yesterday (3/3/14).

In the first incident at approximately 5.45pm  a man entered a Supermarket in Lusk and took an undisclosed sum of cash from a cash register. He left the scene in a black BMW.

 
In the second incident at 5.55pm two men entered the rear office of a Café in Skerries, they demanded cash from an employee and took an undisclosed amount of money from a cash register. No injuries were sustained. 
 

Gardaí were alerted to both incidents and stopped a black BMW on Selskar Road, Skerries Co Dublin shortly after 6.10pm.Two men (26yrs & 29yrs) were arrested and taken to Balbriggan and Swords Garda Stations. A quantity of cash was recovered from the car. 
 

Both men are expected to appear before Swords District Court this morning (4/3/14) charged in connection with these incidents.
