Fatal Shooting Incident Lucan 15th March, 2014

Gardaí in Ronanstown are investigating a shooting incident at a house in Earlsfort View, Lucan that occured this evening, Saturday 15th March 2014.

A man in his mid 40's was shot at approximately 7.30p.m. and removed to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The scene is preserved for technical examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

A burnt out car has been located in Glen Vale, Lucan.  Gardai are investigating the possibility that this may be involved in the shooting incident
