Gardaí at Mallow Co Cork are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal fire in which two men died. The incident occurred at apartments at Granary Court, St Joesephs Rd Mallow, Co Cork at approx 00.10hrs on the 13th March 2014.
Gardaí arrived at the scene and rescued a man and a woman from the building. When Gardaí attempted to re-enter building they were unable to do so due to excessive smoke. Two men were discovered deceased by fire service a short time later. Both deceased have been removed to the morgue at Cork University Hospital where post mortems will be carried out.
