Gardaí have seized a replica handgun, a quantity of contolled drugs and arrested a man following a search at a house in Finglas on 25th March 2014.
In a planned operation Gardaí from Finglas and Cabra Drugs Units searched a house in the Abbotstown area on the afternoon of March 25th. During the course of the search Gardaí discovered a replica handgun and a quantity of methadone, which , subject to analysis, has a street value of €3,000.
A man in his 50s was arrested at the scene and detained at Fingals Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He has been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions
