Drug Seizure Galway 10/03/14

Gardai in Galway targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Galway area have seized a large quantity of ecstasy tablets.

At approximately 6.30pm yesterday evening (10.03.14), as part of an intelligence led operation, Gardai from the Galway Drug Unit carried out a planned search of a house in the Laurel Park area of Galway City.

During the course of the search ecstasy tablets (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of up to €40,000 were seized.

No arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing.
