Armed robbery in Portmarnock, Dublin on the 4/3/14

Gardai in Malahide investigating an armed robbery at a Pharmacy on Strand Road, Portmarnock, Co Dublin on the 4th March 2014 have arrested two males.

The robbery occurred at approximately 8.30pm when the two members of staff were closing up the Pharmacy at Strand Road, Portmarnock were approached by two males who were believed to be in possession of two hanguns.  The culprits threatened the staff members and a scuffle ensued, a staff member received minor injuries.

 
The culprits are described as both approximatley 5'10" both , one was wearing grey balaclava, hoody top and the second male was wearing a black balaclava which looked to be home made.


The culprits left the scene with a watch from one of the staff members.  They fled in a dark coloured car.  Local Gardai were alerted and recovered the car at Red Arches, Baldoyle and arrested two males (22 & 23 years) close by.  They are being detained under the provisions of Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended at Coolock and Swords Garda stations.
