Gardai in Cahir are investigating a serious assault on a male at his house at Kilcaroon, Ballyporeen on the 12th June 2014.
An altercation occurred between two males at the house shortly before 2.45pm on the 12th June. A male (66yrs) received serious head injuries and was taken to South Tipperary Hospital and later transferred to Cork University hospital. His injuries are described as serious. The house has been sealed off for a technical examination.
A male (18yrs) was later arrested in Cahir and is being detained at Cahir Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
