As part on an ongoing operation and investigations into the supply and distribution of controlled substances in the Cork city area, Gardai from the Cork Divisional Drugs Unit assited local units stopped and searched two males in the Blackpool area of Cork City.
During the search of these two males (22yrs & 25yrs) Gardai discovered 500g of Cocaine(subject to analysis) with an approximate street value of €35,000. Both males were arrested and are being detained under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Gurranabraher Garda station.
As part of a follow up search of a house in Knocknaheeney €400 worth of cannabis resin(subject to analysis) was discovered.
