Update - Fatal road traffic collision Moyvalley, Co. Kildare on the 10/12/14

Gardai in Leixlip are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Moyvalley, Co Kildare on the 10th December 2014.

The collision between a car and a male pedestrian (60yrs) occurred at approximately 5.45pm. The female driver (29yrs) was uninjured in the collision. The pedestrian was fatally injured in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. The body of the deceased was taken to the Mortuary in Naas, where a post morten is expectd to take place this morning the 11th Dec 2014.
 

Gardai are still at scene which is down to one lane to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination motorists are asked to take alternative routes if possible.

Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the old N4 near Clonard, Co Meath, the Clonard/Kilcock Road between 7pm and 7.30pm, on 10th December 2014.

A man in his 60s, a pedestrian, was struck by a car. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the driver of the car was not injured.

One lane remains closed in the area to facilitate forensic collision investigators and it is expected to remain closed over night.
