Garda have seized a large amount of cash and property following a planned search at a premises in Co Monaghan yesterday.
Members from the Criminal Assets Bureau supported by local gardai and the Regional Support Unit searched a premises near Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan on the 15th December 2014.
The search uncovered a large quantity of cash on the premises. The amount is in the region of €300,000 in Euro and Sterling. In addition a large bulldozer, car and van were also seized.
A male in his 40’s was arrested at the scene and is current detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Carrickmacross Garda Station.
