Renewed Witness Appeal - Road traffic collision on the Malahide Road, Coolock on the 17/12/14

Gardai in Coolock investigating a road traffic collision in which a 6 year old girl was seriously injured wish to renew their appeal for witnesses.

The collision occurred at approximately 7.20pm on the 17th December 2014 on the Malahide Road, close to the roundabout at Darndale.
 

In addition to witnesses to the collision garda are also seeking the publics assistance in relation to the movements of a green Renault Kango van, 07 D registration, both before and after this collision.
 

To date significant progress has been made in relation to the case. A van has been seized and is being technically examined and the driver of the van has been identified and is assisting gardai with the investigation.

Gardai in Coolock are investigating a serious road traffic collision involving a pedestrian on the Malahide Rd, Coolock on the 17th Dec 2014.

The collision between a dark coloured van and a six year old female pedestrian occurred at approx. 7.45pm. The six year old girl was taken to Temple St Hospital where her condition is described as serious.
 
The collision occurred at the pedestrian crossing on the inbound lane city side of the Darndale roundabout. The van(which is described as an old dark coloured van possibly green) failed to remain at the scene and continued driving towards the city.
