Gardai in Kildysart are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of two people, a male aged 44yrs and a female aged 27 yrs in Kildysart on the 17th December 2014.
Gardai were on the Main Street, Kildysart when they came across an injured female at approximately 7.30pm, emergency services were contacted. Gardai also became aware that a male was injured in a house on Main Street, Kildysart. The male was in a serious condition. Despite efforts by Gardai at scene both were pronounced dead by a local doctor. The bodies remain at scene. The area has been sealed off for a technical examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been contacted.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been in Kildysart particularly on the Main St this evening between 6pm and 7.30pm to contact them in Kildysart on 065 6832102 the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station. Gardai at this stage can confirm that they are not looking for a third party in relation to this incident.
