Fatal road traffic collision Station Road Clondalkin 20th December 2014

Gardaí are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Station Road, Clondalkin, Dublin 22 on Saturday 20th December 2014 at approximately 10pm.

One male, 15 years, was seriously injured when the car he was travelling in as a passenger mounted the footpath and collided with a tree. He was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A post mortem is to be arranged.
The four other occupants of the car, all male, 14 to 16 years, suffered non life threatening injuries. One male was taken to Our Lady’s Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin in a serious condition. The other three males were taken to Tallaght Hospital.
The scene was also attended by Dublin Fire Brigade and National Ambulance Service.
The scene was preserved and Station Road was closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. It has since reopened.
