Fatal road traffic collision at Watergrass Hill, Cork on the 21/12/14

Gardai in Fermoy are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occured at Scartbarry, Watergrass Hill, Co. Cork this afternoon Sunday 21st December, 2014 at approximately 1p.m.

The collision occurred when a car was in collision with a male motorcyclist (55yrs). The motorcyclist was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will be carried out tomorrow morning. The female driver (mid 30s) and her male passenger (11 years) were uninjured.

The road was closed for a Forensic Collision Examination and has now reopened.
