Drug Seizure in Avoca Co. Wicklow on the 22/12/14

Gardaí have seized a quantity of cannabis and arrested a man in Co. Wicklow.

On the afternoon of 22nd December 2014 Gardaí carried out a search at a house at Cherrymount, Avoca, Co. Wicklow.

Approximately 150 cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €120,000 were seized, along with a large amount of hydroponic/cultivation equipment.

A 30 year old man was arrested at scene and taken to Pearse Street Garda Station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984. He has been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
