Update - Serious assault and arrest Dorset Street, Dublin on the 6/4/14

A male aged in his 20s is expected to appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court (C.C.J.2) tomorrow morning (7/4/2014) charged in connection with this investigation.

At approximately 1.45a.m. On Sunday 6th April 2014 Gardaí were called to the scene of an assault at an apartment at Kelly's Row. One male (late 30s) was seriously injured and removed to Mater Hospital by ambulance. He was transferred to Beaumont Hospital and his condition is described as critical.

A male aged in his late 20s was arrested by Gardaí and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Mountjoy Garda Station.
