Firearm and drugs seizure and arrests in Blackrock, Dublin on the 6/4/14

Gardaí have arrested two men and seized a firearm and drugs on the 6th April 2014 in Blackrock Co Dublin.

Following reports of two men acting suspiciously on a DART train, Gardaí from Blackrock Garda Station boarded a train at Blackrock Station. Two men were searched and a handgun and a small quantity of drugs and well as other drugs paraphernalia were discovered.

The two men, one in his 20 and the other in his 30s, were arrested and taken to Blackrock Garda Station where they remain detained under Section 30 of The Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
