Drugs seizure Tullow County Carlow 19th April 2014

As part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs, Gardaí at Tullow, County Carlow, seized cannabis plants with a value of approximately €115,000, (pending analysis), following the planned search of a premises at Friars Hill Grange, Tullow, this afternoon, Saturday 19th April 2014 at midday.

Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.

Two males, 37 & 33 years, were arrested at scene and are currently detained at Carlow Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
