Drug seizure Naas Rd, Dublin 25/04/14

As part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs, The Garda National Drug Unit have seized cannabis herb and arrested a male on the Naas road yesterday evening.

At approximately 7.30pm on the 25/04/14 gardai from The Garda National Drug Unit stopped a car on the Naas Rd near Clondalkin. A search of the car revealed cannabis herb (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of up to €120,000.

The 30 year old driver was arrested at the scene and is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Clondalkin Garda Station.
