Gardai in Galway have seized drugs and arrested a male following a search of a house.
Gardai from the Galway Drug Unit conducted a planned search of a house in the Dangan area, Tuam, Co. Galway last night (5/04/14). During the search cannabis herb and cannabis plants (pending analysis) with a combined estimated street value of up to €100,000 were seized in what was described as a sophisticated grow house. Other drug paraphernalia and an outboard boat engine were also seized.
In a follow up operation this evening a male in his 30’s was arrested in the Tuam area and he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Galway Garda Station.
