Drug Seizure and Arrests Limerick 12th April, 2014

As part of an ongoing operation into the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Limerick area, Gardaí from Bruff assisted by the Divisional Drugs Unit, Henry Street, have uncovered a drug manufacturing plant and seized Ecstasy tablets to the value of €150,000 (pending analysis) following the planned search of a house at Annagh, Murroe, Bruff, Co. Limerick this evening, Saturday 12th April, 2014 at approximately 7pm.

Two men, (early 20s) were arrested at scene and are currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

In a follow up search at an apartment in Limerick city this evening, cannabis herb was seized to the value of €50,000 (pending analysis). One man (mid 20s) was arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Henry Street Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
