Arrests re Operation Galway 12th April, 2014

As part of an ongoing investigation into robberies and burglaries in the Western Region, the Gardai in Galway, and assisted by a number of national units, Organised Crime Unit and Emergency Response Unit, four men and one woman were arrested earlier this evening Saturday 12th April, 2014.

The four men, (aged 25 -30 years) and the one woman (mid 20s) were arrested in Balbriggan this evening.  They are all being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Galway, Loughrea and Tuam Garda Stations.

During the arrests a large quantity of power tools were also seized.
