Arrests - Following attempted robbery Usher Quay Dublin on the 16/4/14

Gardai have made two arrests following an attempted robbery last night.

At approximately 9pm last night (16/04/14) a male and a female entered the Filling Station on Usher Quay, Dublin 8 armed with knives and wearing balaclavas. They threatened staff and demanded money. They fled the scene empty handed and no one was injured.
 

A patrolling garda unit spotted the male and female, in their 30’s, on Thomas Street a short time later. Both suspects were arrested and the knives recovered. They were brought to Kevin Street Garda Station where they were detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
 

Both the male and the female are scheduled to appear before Court number 3, The Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street at 10.30am this morning.
