Seamus McMahon (murdered in Dundalk in the 21/3/10) investigation -Update on the 12/1/12

Gardai have arrested a woman, aged in her 20's, as part of an ongoing investigation into the murder of Seamus McMahon in Dundalk, Louth on the 21st March 2010.

She was arrested this morning (12/1/2012) in the North Louth area and is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Dundalk Garda Station.


This is the 4th person arrested as part of the investigation.

Garda are investigating a shooting incident in Dundalk, Co.Louth on the 21st of March 2010 at about 7p.m.

Two men entered a house at Bóthar Crionn, Dundalk and shot another man aged in his 40’s.  The injured man has was taken to Our lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, with a suspected gunshot wound to the side.  He subsequently died from his injuries.

Gardai believe the suspected offenders may have left the scene in a white Toyota Corolla hatchback.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station on 042 9388400.
