Gardaí in Granard are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at Granardkill between 3a.m. and 6a.m. this morning, the 15th January 2012.
A 39 year old male driver was killed when the car he was driving veered off the road and collided with a tree. He was pronounced dead at scene. His body has been removed to Mullingar General Hospital. There were no other persons in the vehicle at the time of the collision.
The road was closed for a Forensic Collision examination and has been reopened.
