Gardai at Laytown are investigating an armed raid on a Cash in Transit security van at Drogheda Industrial Estate at approximately 11.15am this morning, the 10th January 2011.
Four males were involved in the incident. Two approached a security van operative and threatened him with what appears to have been a shotgun. A cash box was taken with an amount of cash. The men made their escape in red car, reg 97-D, which was recovered a short time later at Knightswood Estate outside Drogheda, Co. Louth.
