Armed robbery at Carr's Hill, Carragline, Cork on the 11/1/12 - Further appeal

Gardai in Togher investigating an armed robbery which occurred at a petrol service station at Carr's Hill, Carragline, Co. Cork on the 11th January 2012 at approx. 4.30pm wish to make a further appeal to the public.

A black Saab that was involved  in the robbery on the 11th January had been stolen (reg no. 05 C ) on the 3rd November 2011 in the Douglas area of Cork.  During the course of the robbery it had on it registration number 04 C the Saab involved in the robbery was later found burnt out at Ballinora, Waterfall, Ballincollig.  The number on the stolen car was a registration number that was registered to another black Saab.

 
The burnt out car was found at the rear of the GAA pitches in Ballinora.

 
Gardai are appealing to anyone who may have seen this car or who may have information to contact the Gardai in Togher on on 021 4947120, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

Gardai in Togher are investigating an armed robbery which occurred at a petrol service station at Carr's Hill, Carragline, Co. Cork on the 11th January 2012.

The incident occurred at approx 4.30pm.  Two Cash-in-Transit employees entered the service station with sum of cash for the ATM, two men wearing balaclavas and armed with sawn-off shotguns entered the service station shortly afterwards.  The culprits threatened the CIT employees and took a sum of cash.  They fled the scene in a black Saab car.

A black Saab car was later found burnt out at Ballinora, Waterfall, Ballincollig.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may seen the black Saab acting suspiciously earlier in the day to contact them in Togher on 021 494 7120, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
