Gardai in Mountjoy are investigation a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on Crawford Avenue, Dublin 9 on the 11th December 2012.
The collision occurred at approximately 6.35pm between a car and a pedestrian on Crawford Avenue with the junction on Iona Road. The pedestrian (90yrs) was seriously injured in the collision and taken by ambulance to the Mater hospital where she later passed away in the early hours of the 12th December 2012. The female driver (26yrs) of the car who was the sole occupant in the car was uninjured in the collision.
The road was closed for a Forensic collision examination and re-opened at 12.30am on the on the 12th December 2012.
