Fatal road traffic collision in Bishopstown, Cork on the 20/12/12

Gardaí at Bishopstown in Cork are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at the South City Ring Road at approximately 6.30 p.m.today (20/12/12).

A male pedestrian in his 70’s was struck by a car at the above location. 
 

He was taken to Cork University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.


The road has been closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
