Traffic Alert Dublin 24th October 2011 1645 hours

James Larkin Road has been closed to all traffic travelling into the city due to surface water, the road remains open to outbound traffic and diversions are in place.

Garda are continuing to advise roads users to exercise extreme caution. Motorists are advised to pay particular attention to vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.

Dipped headlights should be used in times of poor visibility, motorists should slow down be mindful of aquaplaning and allow extra stopping distance while driving on wet roads.
