Gardaí at Terenure are investigating a serious injury road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 9.30pm this evening, Tuesday 4th October 2011, on Kimmage Road Lower near the junction with Aideen Avenue.
A male pedestrian in his late teens was seriously injured when he was struck by a large light coloured van which failed to stop. The injured party was taken to St James’s Hospital where his condition is described as serious.
The road is closed at present and should be avoided by motorists.
