A 32 year old male was arrested this afternoon in Limerick City in connection with the murder of Martin Purcell.
He is currently being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act in Henry Street Garda station.

Gardai at Henry St. are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body of a male, believed to be aged in his late 50s or early 60s, at a flat on Wickham St. this morning.
The services of the State Pathologist have been requested and the scene is preserved for technical examination.
