Fatal road traffic collision at Kilkenny on the 25/10/11

Gardaí at Callan are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 1.30pm this afternoon, Tuesday 25th October 2011.

The collision involved a car and an SUV at Minnauns, Callan, Co. Kilkenny.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, an 80 year old male, was fatally injured.

At present the road is closed to facilitate a forensic investigation.
