Body located Co Wicklow 25th October 2011

Gardaí in Blessington Co Wicklow searching for a man who was swept into the River Liffey at Ballysmuttan Bridge, Manor Kilbride, Co Wicklow at approximately 7pm last evening

(24/10/11) during heavy rain and flash floods have this morning (8.35am25/10/11) located a body at Ballyward Bridge which is approximately 5km’s from the initial incident.  

 

The body was taken from the river and removed to Naas General Hospital where formal identification and a Post Mortem will take place later today.

 

Investigating Gardaí would like to acknowledge the assistance of the Glen Of Imaal Mountain Rescue, Defence Forces at the Glen Of Imaal and members of the public from Manor Kilbride and Blessington.
