Two males arrested in Dublin - Court appearance

Gardaí in Pearse Street have charged a male (27yrs) in connection with an incident in Kilkeel, Co. Down on the 23rd April 2011, during which one man was shot dead and a second man injured.

The male was arrested on the 29th April 2011.  He will appear before Court no 1, Courts of Criminal Justice, Parkgate Street at 10.30am on Thursday, the 5th April 2011.
 
A man arrested on the 27th April 2011in connection with the incident was released on Monday, the 2nd May without charge.

Gardaí working in conjunction with the PSNI have arrested two men following an incident at Kilkeel, Co Down, on 23rd April 2011, during which one man was shot dead and a second man injured.
 
A male aged in his 20s was arrested by Gardai on the 27th April 2011 when he made inquiries regarding a passport application at Pearse St. Garda Station. In a follow up operation Gardaí from Pearse St. supported by national units arrested a second male, also aged in his 20s, last night (29.4.2011) in the north Dublin area.
 
Both men are currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007, at Pearse St Garda Station, where they can be held for up to 7 days.
