Phoenix Park:

The Phoenix Park is closed to all vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians, with the exception of patrons visiting Dublin Zoo on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd May 2011.

The NO PARKING restrictions currently in place in the Phoenix Park continue.

Dublin Zoo will be open from 9.30am – 4pm on Sunday 22nd May. Public access via Parkgate Street gate ONLY. Parking will be in the designated car park ONLY.

NO PEDESTRIAN ACCESS to the Phoenix Park except to Dublin Zoo.

The Phoenix Park will be closed to all vehicular traffic, cyclists and pedestrians on Monday, 23 May 2011 and Dublin Zoo will be closed. 

College Green/Dame Street:

Since 0600hrs this morning Saturday 21st May traffic restrictions are in place in College Green, Dublin City Centre.

Traffic travelling along D’Olier Street can access College Green (restricted to one lane) and travel along Grafton Street Lower, Nassau Street ONLY.

NO ACCESS to Dame Street. 

Traffic WILL NOT be able to access Westmoreland Street from Dame Street.

Traffic, with the exception of Dublin Bus and access, will be diverted at -

Christchurch Place along Nicholas Street or Winetavern Street

No right turn from South Great Georges Street onto Dame Street

Dublin Bus will be running amended routes to facilitate this restriction. www.dublinbus.ie

From 06:00hrs on Monday 23 May the following city centre routes will be closed to traffic:

College Green
D’Olier Street
Westmoreland Street
College Street
Dame Street
Lord Edward Street
Parliament Street

In order to facilitate the above closures other restrictions will be put in place from 06:00hrs on Monday 23 May as follows:

Traffic travelling southbound on O’Connell St will be diverted east onto Eden Quay or west onto Aston Quay. There will be no access to D’Olier Street.

Traffic travelling along the South Quays will have no access to D’Olier Street or Parliament Street and access to Temple Bar will be restricted.

Georges Street will be access only – no through traffic.

All traffic on Capel Street Bridge will be diverted west on the Quays i.e. no access to Parliament Street. 

Other City Centre Routes:

From 1115hrs – 1430hrs on Monday 23 May road closures will be put in place on the following routes and adjacent streets:

North Quays
South Quays
Lombard Street East
Westland Row
Pearse Street
Clare Street
Lincoln Place
Merrion Square North
Mount Street Lower
Northumberland Road
Baggot Street Lower
Pembroke Road

Between 1145hrs – 1430hrs on Monday 23 May cross traffic on the above routes will be restricted for short periods.

From 1630hrs – 2100hrs on Monday 23 May road closures will be put in place on the following routes and adjacent streets:

North Quays
South Quays
Lombard Street East
Westland Row
Pearse Street
Clare Street
Lincoln Place
Merrion Square West

From 1650hrs – 2030hrs on Monday 23 May cross traffic on the above routes will be restricted at various times. 

Merrion Square:

From 0600hrs on Monday 24th May to 1100hrs on Tuesday 24th May the following roads and adjacent lanes will be closed:

Merrion Street Upper
Merrion Square West
Merrion Square South
Baggot Street (Merrion Row – Pembroke Street)
Merrion Row 

Ballsbridge:

From 0600hrs – 1400hrs on Monday 23 May there will be road closures and limited access on the following roads in the vicinity of the US Embassy:

Clyde Road
Elgin Road
Wellington Place
Wellington Road 

M50/ N4 Junction (Lucan) – Diversion as per last week

From 1000hrs – 2100hrs on Monday 23 May a traffic diversion will be in place on the N4 citybound at Junction 7 on the M50 Motorway. ALL Citybound traffic on the N4 and ALL traffic, with the exception of Public Transport, intending to travel to the city from the M50 will be diverted North/ South along the M50 to access Dublin City North and South.  

Dublin Airport:

Dublin Airport will remain open throughout the visit. Access will be maintained from the M1 Motorway and Swords road (R132) to the long term car parks and the Airport Terminals. Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journey in light of traffic restrictions around the city and the airport.

From 0900hrs – 1000hrs on Monday 23 May traffic will be restricted on all roads on the perimeter of Dublin Airport (access only):

               Collinstown Avenue
               Naul Road (R108)
               R122

There will be NO PARKING or Pedestrian viewing on the perimeter roads including at the traditional plane spotting locations around the airport.

West City - Axes will remain unaffected through out Monday 23 May

R136, Outer Ring Rd (N81 Tallaght – N4 Lucan & M50 Northbound)
M50 Motorway
R121 (Clonsilla rd/ Westmanstown Rd/ Lucan)
R112 Kylemore Rd (Naas Rd – Outer Ring Rd – N4)

East City -

Sherriff Street, Guild Street, Samuel Beckett Bridge, Macken Street (traffic restrictions between 1100hrs – 1400hrs)
East Wall Road/ Dublin Port Tunnel, East Link Bridge, Sean Moore Road, Beach Road

O2 (Roger Waters Concert) on Monday 23 May:

The above event takes place in the O2 on Monday 23rd. Patrons have been advised by the promoters that there are traffic restrictions in Dublin City and to plan their journeys. They have been further advised to use Public Transport (LUAS, Dublin Bus etc…) or to access the O2 via East Wall Road/ Dublin Port or the East Link Bridge. 

Parking Restrictions:

All previously announced parking restrictions in Dublin city Centre remain in place.
