Fatal road traffic collision on the Ennis Road, Limerick on the 26/5/11

Gardai in Mayorstone are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occured this morning at 11.25 a.m. today Thursday 26th May, 2011 on the Ennis Road, Limerick.

The cyclist a male (39 years) was seriously injured at the time of the collision when he was hit by a car and removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital where he later passed away this afternoon. 

 
The driver of the car was uninjured. 

 
The scene has been examined by the Forensic Collision Investigators and Gardai at Mayorstone are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact Mayorstone Garda Station on 061 - 456980, the Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
