Gardai at Mill street are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision at approx 10.30am on the 16th July 2011 on the Galway to Oranmore rd (Old Dublin Rd).
The collision occured between a bus and 2 cars. The female driver(35yrs) in one of the cars was seriously injured and was taken to Galway University Hospital where she was later pronounced dead. A number of people who were travelling in the bus were uninjured. One person in the 2nd car received non life threatening injuries.
The road was closed to facilitate a forensic collision investigation and diversions are in place.
