Missing children - Eaton's - Located

Gardai can confirm that the four Eaton children, Chloe, Jessica, Jon and Megan, missing from the Ardee area since Thursday, the 10th March, have been located safe and well in Newcastle Co. Down, this afternoon (13/03/11) at about 1.00 p.m.

A 30 year old man and woman have been arrested and are currently assisting the Police Service of Northern Ireland with their enquiries.

Gardai  would like to thank UK police forces, particularly the Police Service of Northern Ireland for their assistance during the course of this investigation.  We would also like to thank Interpol for their assistance.

We wish to extend our thanks to the media for their co-operation and assistance with the appeal, this assistance was invaluable in bringing this case to it's conclusion and finally we would like to thank the public for their assistance.

Gardai are again renewing their appeal for information concerning the whereabouts of Chloe, Jessica, Jon and Megan Eaton.

They are believed to be in company of 30 year old Steven Appleton, who is believed to have possession of a silver Vauxhall Zafira, registered number DY08 JYF.

Gardai are now issuing a photograph of Mr Appleton and it is available on request via e-mail from the Garda Press Office at pressoffice@garda.ie

Gardaí are renewing their appeal for assistance from the public with regards to these missing children.

It is possible that the children are now in Northern Ireland and in this regard we are liaising with our counterparts in the PSNI.

Gardaí at Ardee are seeking the public's assistance in tracing the whereabouts of four (4) children. Chloe Eaton (12 years), Jessica Eaton (10 years), Jon Eaton (5 years) and Megan Eaton (1 year) were last seen at their home at Tullykeel, Ardee, Co. Louth yesterday, Thursday 10th March 2011.

It is believed that these children are in the company of a 30 year old male and an adult female.  There is also the likelihood that there are 2 other young children in their company not the subject of a missing persons appeal.
 
The man has the use of an English registered silver coloured Opel Zafira.
