Horse Fair Smithfield 5 June 2011

Gardai would like to inform the public that as a result of development works being carried out at Smithfield by Dublin City Council as part of the Smithfield Quarter Enhancement Scheme

over half of the space normally allocated to the Horse Fair will be unavailable on Sunday the 5th June 2011 and in the coming months . We are therefore recommending that people do not attend the Horse Fair this coming Sunday and for the coming months.
The works to Smithfield Plaza are scheduled to continue for several more months and will result in disruption to the holding of the Horse Fair for this period.
