As part of routine Garda checkpoint Gardaí stopped and searched a van which was travelling city bound on the Naas Road Dublin yesterday afternoon (24/6/11).
During the course of the search of the vehicle 30kg of Cannabis Herb and 5 kg of Cocaine was seized with a street value of €700,000 (subject to analysis)
Two men were arrested (59 yrs & 19 yrs). Both are detained at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
