Donabate shooting update

The 55 year old man injured in the shooting incident in Donabate yesterday (6/6/11) was pronounced dead in Beaumont Hospital this morning (7/6/11)

Gardaí in Swords are investigating a shooting incident in Donabate Co Dublin this afternoon (6/6/11)

A male (believed to be in his 50’s) was shot a number of times at Hands Caravan Park, Donabate at approximately 4.40pm. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he is described as being in a serious condition.

A car believed to have been used in the shooting was found burnt out at Turvey Woods, Donabate at 5pm.

The scene of the shooting at Hands Caravan Park and at Turvey Woods is currently sealed off pending a Garda forensic examination. 

Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who have witnessed this incident or who have information to contact the incident room at Swords Garda Station 01- 666 4700, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
