5 men arrested Kill Co Kildare 12 June 2011

As part of ongoing investigations into organised crime, members of An Garda Siochana attached to the Organised Crime Unit, Harcourt Sq assisted by the Emergency Response Unit stopped 2 cars in Kill, Co Kildare at approximately 1am on the 12th June 2011 and arrested 5 males(all in their 30s).

During the course of a seach of the vehicles Gardai discovered 2 firearms (subject to ballistic examination). The 5 men were arrested and brought to Clondalkin and Ballyfermot Garda stations where they are being detained under the provisions of Section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
