Serious assault in Swords, Dublin on the 16/7/11 - Appeal for witnesses

Gardaí at Swords investigating an alleged sexual assault at The Ward Park (Jacko Park), Swords, Dublin at approximately 2.30pm on Saturday, the 16th July 2011 are appealing for witnesses.

The investigating Gardaí at Swords are appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Saturday 16th July 2011 to contact the incident room at Swords.

They are particularly interested in speaking to an individual who spoke with the alleged injured party who was in a distressed state at the time.  

This person is described as male, being in his thirties, bald, stocky build and who was walking a brown dog at the time, which was possibly a labrador.

Gardaí at Swords are investigating a serious assault that occurred on a teenage girl on Saturday last, 16th July 2011.

The assault happened at approximately 2.30pm in Rivervalley Park – known locally as "The Jacko”.

A follow up investigation resulted in a 22 year old man being arrested earlier today and he is presently in custody at Swords Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
