Investigation into the murder of David Whyte in Palmerstown, Dublin on the 26/9/08 - Arrest

Gardaí investigating the murder of 35 year old David Whyte (See Press Releases below) in Palmerstown on 26th September 2008 have today (Tuesday, the 11th January 2011) arrested a 33 year old man.

The man was arrested in Co. Clare and taken to Ballyfermot Garda Station.  He is expected to appear before Court No 4 in the Criminal Courts of Justice , Parkgate Street, Dublin 8 on Wednesday morning (12/1/11) charged in connection with this murder investigation.

Gardai at Ballyfermot investigating the death in Palmerstown on Friday the 26/09/08 have named the male discovered as David Whyte, New Cabra Road, Dublin, aged 35 years.

Gardai at Ballyfermot are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body of a male in his 40's in grounds off Mill Lane, Palmerstown Dublin 20, shortly after 5pm this evening (26/09/08 ).

The scene has been preserved for technical examination and the State Pathologist's office has been notified.

The investigation into the circumstances of the death is continuing and any updates will be issues.
