Gardai in Fitzgibbon Street in Dublin are investigating an incident of criminal damage to a public house on North Circular Road which occurred at approximately 2.15am on 5th January 2011.
Gardai responding to the incident discovered a window of the premises smashed on arrival. Following a search of the immediate area Gardai discovered a male hiding in the garden of a house on North Circular Road in possession of a 5 litre container filled with petrol.
The 26 year old man was arrested and is currently being detained in Mountjoy Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
